Data Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of data associated with SalesAgent, a multi-tenant AI-powered platform that businesses use to communicate with their customers over WhatsApp. It applies both to end users who have messaged a business using SalesAgent and to Business Customers who run a SalesAgent account.
1. If You Are an End User (You Messaged a Business on WhatsApp)
If you have messaged a business that uses SalesAgent and want your conversation data deleted, you can:
- Contact the business directly — the WhatsApp number you messaged belongs to the business, and they can request deletion of your conversation data from SalesAgent on your behalf; or
- Contact SalesAgent directly using the details in Section 3 below. Include the phone number you messaged from and, if known, the name of the business you contacted, so we can locate and delete the relevant conversation data.
2. If You Are a Business Customer (You Have a SalesAgent Account)
To request deletion of your SalesAgent account and associated data:
- Contact us using the details in Section 3 below from the email or account associated with your SalesAgent account, and request deletion.
- We may ask you to verify your identity or account ownership before processing the request, to protect against unauthorized deletion requests.
- Once verified, we will delete or anonymize the data associated with your account — including your business profile, dashboard login, and the conversation/lead data collected through your account — except where we are required or permitted to retain certain records (for example, for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes).
3. How to Submit a Deletion Request
Email us with your request:
Please include your WhatsApp phone number and, if applicable, the name of the business you contacted or the email associated with your SalesAgent account, so we can locate and process your request.
4. What Happens After a Request
Once a deletion request is verified, we will remove the relevant data from our active systems within a reasonable time. Some information may continue to exist for a limited period in backups until they are cycled out in the ordinary course of business, and we may retain certain records where required or permitted by law (for example, for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes).
5. Separate WhatsApp / Meta Data
SalesAgent connects to the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. and/or its affiliates ("Meta"). Meta may independently retain data related to your WhatsApp account or messages in accordance with its own policies. Deleting data from SalesAgent does not delete any data held directly by WhatsApp or Meta — to manage that data, use WhatsApp's own account and data controls or contact Meta directly.
